LOST CHILDREN
In order from the top: Claude, Aurelia, Florence, Jasper, Imogen, Constance, Elliot, Gertrude, Beatrice, Clarence, Audra, Henrietta, Hazel.
Lost Children is a project I'm hoping fellow artists, writers and other creative types/friends I've asked can contribute to when free time allows but for now I'm starting it alone. The idea for this happened many many years ago (what sparked it I can't remember) and I've been burning to do it ever since.
Inbetween working on bigger projects, paid work for clients and whatnot, I make these smaller sized images, just to stay free and moving and avoid periods of inactivity. It's fun because without a client or ideal in mind, I try to make them pretty fast without over thinking and go on my instincts instead. No drafts are made prior to the end results.
The ones I'm happy to put out into the world, I'm making free prints of and putting them in public places like library books, jacket/coat and shirt and trouser pockets in retail stores, magazines, LP's and videos in second hand stores, cracks/gaps in building (and other) walls, bus shelters, tied to trees and posts, etc etc... spots where people can discover them with suprise.
Each one is named and -at least for the time being- has no credit or any other info attached to them. I like that people can come across them and not know why they're there or who made them.
Everything shouldn't be explained all the time.
They're just anonymous gifts. It's an unknown for me who finds them... and how they got there is a mystery for the finders.
So above is the first batch and I'll display loads more continually.
Some new projects, collaborations and cool stuff might be happening soon too! A lot of works in progress and ideas that'll be great if they work out.

BUY FERAL DEBRIS ZINE!
Feral Debris is an essential zine coming out of Nottingham, U.K. and full of weird/ interesting/ fucked up/ wild/ compelling art, music and other stuff. It's 3 issues old and above are two illustrations I've been asked to use in issue 4, for features on Jandek and Raven.
Get the previous issues before they go out of print, trust me it's worth it, plus each one has a cd-r attached with music and sounds by experimental (/whatever you wanna call it) bands and artists from around the world. I may be contributing music to issue 4 cd-r too!

HAIL M.V.K!
Here's the first couple of pictures I've done, playing around with using chopsticks and ink. Click for bigger size.
Earlier this year I stayed in London with my dear friend Maya. She's a real inspiration, does a cool tape label, makes great music in a number of projects and whenever I'm with her I always get the drive to do stuff and get creative.
Sitting at her kitchen table, listening to good songs, we got arty and Maya introduced me to using a chopstick to push ink on the paper. As soon as I started, it felt so comfortable and natural... I've been kind of obsessing on it ever since.
Something about the way I usually illustrate, with total control over the lines... and then using this other style, losing some of the control but gaining the possibilities and suprises that come from that.
We made some pictures for a Haunted Fucking tape, stay alert for that or you'll miss out and regret it.
I'll post those pics later and many many more others using this way too.

ILLUSTRATION, PRE-2008
Here's various commissions and personal work created before upto 2008.

2006 tour shirt illustration for the band Rolo Tomassi.
Great music and people, plus they were super easy to work with. I was asked to draw anything I wanted, with the only detail changed being the text on the arm replaced with the band name. The shirts are now sold out/ out of print.
Cover for Esquilax record, Listener.
Cover for 2007 illo print collection. Limited to 50, now sold out.
Shirt design for the band Deadsunrising. They destroyed.
Cover for illustration print collection, Colouring Book 2.
Illustrations for the band Gallows and a seven inch release on Holy Roar Records.
Sold out pretty fast but there's probably some copies for sale around on the net.
